This edge uncurler series features two motor-driven scroll rollers. These are best implemented with edge sensors to smooth out the rolled edges of woven and knitted webs on stenter infeeds. As the first scroll is pivoted, the wrapping angle and thus the smoothing effect are infinitely variable.
With its raised motor mounting, scroll roller LA 82 is ideal when conditions are cramped. A special version of the scroll roller is available for silk.
The LA 82 may be optionally equipped with a new kind of web guided device to imporve operational reliability. This device consists of a patented web guiding plate and additional guide bars. It pervents even major web flaws along the edges (holes, tears) from catching in the scroll roller.
